Sustainable and functional — Textiles for the future
The future of the textile industry is characterised by numerous challenges, both in terms of new developments in politics and society, as well as the constant competition and change in the textile industry itself. Some trends sometimes prove to be short-lived and barely perceptible, while others, such as improving sustainability in production and closing gaps in the value chain, have been discussed for years and can quickly be categorised as excessive and difficult to implement due to the interlinking with other trends.
We therefore want to address current and burning issues in this forum in order to inform you and inspire new ideas. We also want to focus in particular on the topic of functional textiles, as these are used in so many sectors, from leisurewear to medical technology, and therefore play a decisive role as products with customised properties.
Parallel to the event, companies and institutions will be presenting their innovations, products and services for the textile industry of tomorrow.
